With over 25 years experience of dealing with significant life events and complex mental health issues, including stress, depression, anxiety, social phobias, compulsive conditions and relationship issues. I will work with you to help you to achieve your goals. I will not tell you what to do, or make judgements or assumptions, but I will listen to what is impacting on your life, and will guide you in a way which will help you to process and make sense of what is happening.
About me and my practice
I will draw upon my personal and professional experience, knowledge and thorough assessment of your needs and together will help you work through and provide coping strategies to enable you to live the life you want.
The first step is recognising that you may need therapy.
It may be an individual decision, a friend, relative, colleague or medical professional referral. Each client is unique and requires individualised interventions and techniques to assist in your recovery, delivered at your pace.
Counselling is a personal choice and not all therapists work the same way, it is important that you feel comfortable, safe and heard within my dedicated therapy space. My experience of working within public service allows me to understand the impact of unforeseen life changes and stressful situations, including the impact on family and friends.
Experience
I work with a number of different presentations.
I am an experienced Bereavement Counsellor and I also have a lot of experience of working with clients and their families who have suffered with/or are managing a cancer diagnosis.
I am very flexible in my approach to working with individuals and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or visit my website www.lancashiretherapy.co.uk where you will find further information.
